If there is liquid just below the flush ball looking down into the toilet, at least you know it's full. Do not trust the lights. They are almost universally wrong. Turn the pump off, open the flush valve and see what you can see first.

Dont rule out spring hangers. Mine needed repositioned from new for the same
reason. Thats the frame work of your axle location. If thats off nothing else matters until spacing is correct.

RE: 7.3 Ford gas engine
Mine's a '22 Supercrew long bed, 3.55 rear towing an 8500 lbs 34' travel trailer. I get 10 ish mpg towing and pulls very well. The shifting with the 10 speed is a bit wonky sometimes on slow speed up shifts. It over runs the engine speed and shifts surge in 1,2 and 3. Auto engine brake on downhill braking is overdone for my taste. I have taken to using manual in specific situations I now recognize ahead of time. Stays in engine brake mode way too long for practical use. Has the engine screaming even when bottom of hill has been reached and back on the gas. I have 30k miles on so far and very few real complaints. Truck averages about 15.5 mpg in mixed driving unloaded. I averaged over 17 on a trip to Nashville and back averaging 65 mph and up. It loafs along at 1750 rpm at 80mph in 10th, and zero to 60 comes up pretty quickly for an 8000lb truck at 8 seconds flat. Very happy with the truck so far.

I can't speak to the current market, but back when I bought mine, it was fairly widely known mark up on trailers was like 40% from sticker. My 2008 trailer was listed at $28,900. We bought it for $17,900. Something to be aware of if still bargaining.

Roof leak at transition from tin to rubber at the top front of the roof. Too much dependence of caulk in too many places. Poor frame spring hanger placement/axle alignment from new. Cheap oem tires. Unreliable tank sensors. Overall medeocre build quality/fit and finish.

We toured the Sunnybrook plant in like 2012 When we had our trailer repaired for a crack in the siding above the door. We stayed in a hotel in Shipshewanna and ate at Essenhause. Was a good trip and tour. Don't know what Winnebago's policy is these days.

RE: When to replace the hitch pin?
Any idea what the shear forces required to chop it in two? There are anomalies in this world but betting the farm very few ever are sheared. The receiver welds would probably fail before that pin would shear. I'd sooner keep the one I have road tested than risk a new one these days.

When my screw holes stripped out holding the transition metal strip from front tin to roof rubber, I found it was because there was leakage around the screws and the wood had rotted away. Make sure the sub structure is sound before just screwing it back in place.

Receptacles in campgrounds get pretty worn. I have seen some ugly electricals. We've been using a plug in protector 15 years and it's saved me several times. Has tripped from lightening strikes nearby and poor neutral connections, low voltage, etc. Cheap insurance IMO.

On our 3rd set of Maxxis and have had zero issues. I'll guess most trailer tires run out of date before tread. When the cracks start appearing on side wall and between tread rows, I buy new. Have gotten 7-8 years out of all Maxxis I've bought at around $120 per.

On ours, I found travelling in the rain with the roof vents open creates a negative pressure which will pull in rain as you travel. Carpet under the slide overlap was always wet when we towed in the rain. No obvious leak anywhere. Drove me crazy until I figured it out.

We've had our Sunset Creek by Sunnybrook since 2007 and as far as an "Indiana" product, it's held up remarkably well with minimal maintenance. As J Barca said, concentrate on base construction because as far as I know, most everything on any trailer is a purchased component which each manufacturer specs for their particular trailer. Lippert and Dexter are two major players. I-beam frame rails instead of welded H-beam, axles, brakes, tongue jacks, slide out mechanisms, etc., used to be vendor supplied. Not sure these days. IDK if any of them went proprietary on all components or not.
Sunnybrook used to be a very good trailer before Winnebago bought them out. We bought ours during the take over period and it was claimed long time employees were jumping ship. Sunnybrook had the most long term employee base of most of the manufacturers in Indiana at the time. I would loosely claim "craftsmanship" may have been higher than most, but their stock in trade was not changing designs much over over time. Sort of the bread and butter of trailers without a lot of frills. I admit I don't keep up with it, but early examples of smooth sided trailers (Filon) were abysmal in use. Saw some horror stories unfold on this board many times. I prefer the look and relative ease of repair of stick and tin over "fiberglass" smoothies. Opinions vary. You takes your chances and spin the wheel when you buy one. That much is clear. And yes, get used to doing repairs... or have deep pockets for your local Rv store to do them for you. You WILL likely need to do things yourself.

Yes, in manual. I was wondering if there was a way to lock out OD while still in tow mode. I admit I haven't tried it but I think clicking the shift switch in Tow Mode doesn't lock out OD gears.

Late to the party.
Have a 2021 F250 7.3 with 22k on the odometer, mostly towing.
It's been a trouble free truck since I bought it new in 2020.
My only complaint is tow mode in the mountains.
Touch the brakes and LOOK OUT.
Easily mitigated by towing in manual mode while in the hills which I much prefer anyway.
I also lockout 9th and tenth on the highway for shift free towing at 2100 RPMS.
Yes I would buy this exact truck again.
How do you lock it out? Stay in manual 8th? Or is there another way? I frequently tow in 10th on mostly flat roads in tow mode. I'm in love with the truck other than a few minor annoyances.

My only real complaint with 7.3 is, in tow mode the minute you touch the brakes going down even a moderate slope, it downshifts too low for the speed I'm carrying, so Im going down slopes in 2nd gear screaming at 5000 rpm until I ease into the gas again. I find sometimes its easier to use manual and pick the gear I want. Towing about 8200 lbs with my 3.55 I get about 9-10 on rolling hills. 11 on flats at 65. Otherwise, I have few complaints about the truck. (except that gas cap lanyard.....argh!)
With my Ford I also do a lot of manual control of the gears. It seems to be too eager to down shift when the brakes are applied in tow haul mode and not eager enough to downshift when climbing hills. I would like to have the option of customizing some of the tow/haul settings, including different settings for different trailers. I don't see how that would be hard for Ford to do with everything already computerized.
I would think reprogramming is possible. Question is, will my dealer do it? I don't mind the downshift on a hills coming up. I can pedal it and get it into a lower gear on approach. But when it's screaming in 2nd and the road flattens out after descent, it takes forever to upshift again for no apparent reason. It sure pulls well, though!
